wolfgangi: C Tunisia; Type locality: Bou Hedma National Park, Tunisia (34.24’N, 9.23’E).

Holotype: NHM-BS (also as SNHMB) N 41980 (State Natural History Museum Braunschweig, also as SNHM-BS), male, collected 19 August 1998 by Ulrich Joger; paratypes: ZFMK, SNHM-BS, HLMD [wolfgangi]

CommentRelationships: T. deserti is closely related to T. fascicularis, hence the two are sometimes listed as T. deserti/fascicularis complex (e.g. by Antinucci et al. 2024) 
EtymologyNamed after Latin fascis = bundle or fiber, apparently after the dorsal reticulate lines and cross-bands in this species.
