Type locality: Chutes do Félou near Médina,West- Mali, leg. J. & U. JOGER, Mar. 1978: 1 paratype ZMH R04306 (formerly ZFMK 19967).

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Schuppen rauh, relativ klein (103-184 um die Körpermitte, 34-54 Gularschuppen). Rückentuberkel gewöhnlich in 12, seltener in 13 oder 14 Längsreihen, mit sternförmig angeordneten Kielen. 21-25 Schuppen und Lamellen unter den 5. Zehen. Färbung bleich (hellbraun oder ockergelb im Leben, meist weißlich in Alkohol) mit zahlreichen kleinen weißen Tupfen, besonders auf den Tuberkeln, und undeutlich größeren, selten in Form von Querbändern angeordneten Flecken (Abb. bei Joger 1980).Maximale Kopf-Rumpf-Länge 97 mm (Männchen), 85 mm (Weibchen). Kompletter Schwanz gewöhnlich länger als Kopf und Rumpf. (Joger 1984: 163) 
CommentSimilar species: has been confused with T. annularis and T. ephippiata (in Mali).

Distribution: Not in Morocco but found close to the border, hence possibly in Morroco too (Martínez et al. 2019, and pers. comm. 18 Jan 2021).
