Type locality: “Kolmanskop, Southwest Protectorate, Africa”

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Similar to T. semiannulatus, but differing in having 21 rows of scales instead of invariably having 19; in coloration, in having the anal entire and in several other minor features [from BARBOUR 1922].

CommentVenomous, but usually not dangerous to humans.

Habitat: partly arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).

EtymologyNamed after the collector, Dr. Werner Beetz.
