CommentSynonymy partly after HOOGMOED 194. M. breviparietalis is a synonym of Trachylepis perroteti, fide J.F. Trape (pers. comm., 29. Sep 2014). Trape et al. 2012 believe that Mabuia guineensis MONARD 1940 are actually juvenile Trachylepis perroteti.

Distribution: Chad, Sudan after L. Chirio (and MNHN, 5 April 2012).

Distribution (breviparietalis): There is no “Koldé, Senegal” in Google Maps, but there is a town called Kolda.

Habitat: terrestrial 
EtymologyNamed after Gustave Samuel Perrotet (1793-1867), an explorer and collector. He was the naturalist (1819) on board the Rhône.
