CommentDistribution: Not in Oman (Carranza et al. 2018). 
EtymologyNamed after Atmaram S. Jayakar (1844-1911), Indian surgeon, sent to Muscat by the Indian Medical Service. Not listed by VAN DER KOOIJ (2001).
