gestri: Fernando Po; type locality: Fernando Po (Basilé and Musola, 400-700 m elevation), one specimen from Buca, Cameroon, 900-1200 m elevation.  
TypesType: BMNH 1946.1.17.3 (and possibly additional specimens).
Syntypes: BMNH 1946.1.17.3 (formerly BMNH 1906.3.30.70) and MSNG 28877 (2 specimens) [gestri]

EtymologyNamed after Dr. Carl Jakob Sundevall (sometimes Sundewall) (1801-1875), a zoologist, ornithologist, and arachnologist.
