TypesHolotype: ZUEC 0700, adult male, Museu de Historia Natural of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (ZUEC). 
Diagnosis 
CommentHabitat: rocks

Diet: a large percentage of the diet of this species (10-30%) consists of ants (Lucas et al. 2023). 
Etymology“he specific name helenae is an expressionof our deep friendship and honors the memory of Helena Ribas Lopes, a distinguished adviser and teacher.”
