Type locality: ,,Anamallays, Tinnevellys". [Silybura rubrolineata GÜNTHER]  
TypesSyntypes: BMNH 1946.1.15.53 (formerly 74.4.29.804; Tinnevellys), 1946.1.15.63 (74.4.29.92; Nilgiris, Anamallays, 2,000—4,000 feet). [Silybura rubrolineata GÜNTHER] “The original reports listed three types. B. M. No. 74.4.29.1206: RR 1946.1.16.26 from „Malabar" is listed as a type on the jar; it should presumably not be considered such as this locality was not mentioned by GüNTHER” (quoted after GANS 1966).
