Type locality: Pedra Branca (as Pedra Blanca) Is., 43° 52’ S, 146° 59’ E, off southern coast of Tasmania.

CommentAbundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed for Audubon Eric Palfreyman (1911-1999), draper and sailor, first person to land on Pedra Branca Rock, where he collected the type specimens (Shea 2012).
