| Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A species of Bronchocela, morphologically most similar to its allopatric congener, B. burmana in the mainland Sundaland, but differs from all species by having medium-sized body (73.7–107.2 mm SVL; 92.3 ± 8.4, n = 25) in adults; relative tail length (278.4–390.0% of SVL; 332.6 ± 28.5, n = 25); a small gular pouch in males; midgular scales not enlarged; 10–12 enlarged ventral scale rows; ventrals 3–5 times larger than dorsals; 60–82 ventrals (70 ± 5, n = 25); lateral body scales narrowly acute, strongly keeled; 4–6 upper dorsal scale rows on the lateral body directed upward along the body; nuchal crest weakly developed, lanceolate in shape; 10–12 nuchal crest scales to the level of axilla; longest nuchal crest scale shorter than eye diameter; dorsal crest indistinct; some scales on temporal region enlarged; 6–8 temporal scale rows between orbit and tympanum; 5–7 canthal scales between supranasal and anterior border of orbit; canthal edge sharp; 61–80 scale rows at midbody (68.9 ± 4.6, n = 25); 3rd finger equal to 4th finger; 94–116 paravertebrals (104.7 ± 6.2, n = 25), first paravertebral row enlarged.
