DiagnosisDiagnosis: Maxillary teeth modified; third and fourth supralabials entering orbit; no preocular; mental not touching anterior chin shields; tail tapering in posterior fifth; dorsal scales yellow with a dark brown network; no stripes above first scale row; no nuchal collar. (Inger & Marx 1965: 230)

EtymologyNamed after J. H. A. B. Sonnemann Rebentisch, who collected specimens of fish for Bleeker (1858-1859). He wrote Reptilien van Borneo (1859).
