Comment	Synonymy: BOULENGER (1888: 9) in the Zoological Record of 1888 noted that maculatus is synonymous with striatus. Reference images: see Uetz et al. 2024 for high-resolution reference images for this species.
Etymology	Named after Latin maculatus, from Latin maculus, spotted; polluted; tainted.
