CommentA dichotomous key to the five species of the genus Mabuya in Vietnam is provided by Bobrov 1992.

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after Russian herpetologist Ilya S. Darevsky (18 Dec 1924-8 Aug 2009).
