| Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Gekko (Ptychozoon) septentrionalis sp. nov. can be diagnosed from congeners by a combination of the following morphological characters: (1) SVL at least 48.7 mm; (2) supranasals separated by single internasal; (3) preaxial antebrachial flap terminated at base of digit I; (4) supralabials 12, ninth supralabial in mid-orbital position; (5) dorsal or caudal tubercles absent; (6) subdigital lamellae 14 or 15; (7) lateral denticulate cutaneous lobes 27 pairs on tail; (8) lobe fusion at the terminal caudal flap absent; (9) 17 scales across widest portion of caudal flap; (10) caudal lobes angled posteriorly; (11) width of caudal lobes decrease posteriorly; (12) thick postorbital stripe present; and (13) three dark body bands present between limb insertions.
