CommentSimilar species: Very similar to Rhabdophis chrysargos.

Synonymy partly after MALKMUS et al. (2002).

The name proposed by Professor Peters cannot be retained, be-
cause it has been used by Edeling, in 1865, for another Bornean
species. (Günther 1872) 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality, which is in Sarawak.
