DiagnosisUnfortunately we had to temporarily remove additional information as this was scraped by multiple AI companies who sell that data to their customers. These details, e.g. detailed descriptions or comparisons (about 3033 characters), are available for collaborators and contributors. Please contact us for details.
CommentRelationships: Although Lacerta (Iberolacerta) horvathi is isolated from the other members of the (sub-) genus Iberolacerta geographically, it is more closely related to I. monticola/cyreni than to the other Iberian species (see CROCHET et al. 2004).

Distribution: Engelmann et al. 1993 listed the species for Germany (although they say in the text that this needs verification), but later sources (e.g. SINDACO & JEREMČENKO 2008) do not confirm this.
EtymologyNamed after Geza Horvath (1847-1937), Hungarian entomologist.
