Comment	Type Species: Lerista vermicularis Storr 1982 is the type species of the genus Alcisius WELLS 2012: 208. WELLS 2012: 47 erected the genus for A. vermicularis as sole species. Unfortunately WELLS did not provide a phylogenetic analysis of the genera into which he broke up Lerista, hence we leave the current genus Lerista intact for the time being.
Etymology	From the Latin vermiculus (a little worm), referring to the shape and small size of this species. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
