Type locality: Fergusson Island, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea [ca. 9.54°S, 150.67°E].  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesLectotype: BMNH 1946.1.11.38 (formerly 95.4.26.48), an adult male. Paralectotypes: BMNH 1946.1.11.37 (formerly 95.4.26.48) and 1946.1.11.39 (formerly 95.4.26.49), an adult male and an adult female, respectively. All types were collected by Albert S. Meek (1871-1943) during September-December 1894.
