Distribution	Argentina (La Rioja). Type locality: Rio Las Yeguas, Sierra de los Tarjados, Parque Nacional Talampaya (29° 44’ S, 67° 45’ W), elevation 1200 m, Felipe Varela Department, La Rioja Province, Argentina.
Reproduction	viviparous (not imputed, fide Zimin et al. 2022)
Types	Holotype: FML 13411 (Fundación Miguel Lillo)
Diagnosis	Diagnosis. See entry of Liolaemus punmahuida.
Comment	Group: Belongs to the Liolaemus elongatus group (fide ESPINOZA et al. 2000). Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). Distribution: for a map showing localities of this and other species see Ruiz et al. 2025: 3 (Fig. 1).
Etymology	Named after the type locality.
