| Comment | Type species: Chamaeleo mlanjensis BROADLEY 1966 is the type species of the genus Nadzikambia TILBURY, TOLLEY & BRANCH 2006. |
| Etymology | The species was named after the type locality. The genus name Nadzikambia is derived from “Nadzikambi”, the name for chameleon in ChiChewa, the language used by the tribe that lives in the area around Mulanje Mountain in southern Malawi. The name Nadzikambe is Latinised by terminating it with the suffix “ia” thus giving it a feminine gender. |
