Diet: herbivorous
This species belongs to the patagonicus group (fide LOBO et al. 2010) or the payuniae group (MORANDO et al. 2013). The payuniae group contains P. nevadoi, P. payuniae, P. sitesi, P. delheyi, P. zapalensis, P. rahuensis, P. cacivioi, P. tenebrosus (Marin et al. 2022).
