Type locality: "northwestern part of the mountainous Ogo, Borama district, British Somaliland (42˚45'E. x 10˚20' N.), 4000 ft."

EtymologyNamed after Edward Harrison Taylor (1889-1978), American herpetologist who spent several years in the Philippines before returning to the University of Kansas.
