Comment 
EtymologyThe species epithet, supranasalis, comes from Latin (supra- "above" + nāsus "nose" + -ālis "of or pertaining to"). It is a reference to the supranasal scales of the species as a key differentiating feature of it with other closely related species in the same genus.
