Type locality: Cocos Island, west of Costa Rica.

Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin pacificus, belonging to the Pacific (ocean). [“...Habitat.- Cocos island, Pacific Ocean off the west coast of Costa Rica...”].
