Type locality: at or near Peña Lisa, Condoto, (5°06'N, 76°37'W), elevation ca. 91 m, Depto. Choco, Colombia.  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesHolotype: BMNH 1946.1.8.69, female (?), received by museum in May, 1914 from Dr. H. G. F. Spurrell.

CommentThis species remains known from only a single specimen (WILSON 1999). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin nigra, black, dark [“...Black above and beneath...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
