CommentSynonymy: In the original description the authors used 3 different spellings (i.e. typos); A. tokobajevi was used first and therefore has priority.

Type species: Alsophylax tokobajevi JEREMČENKO & SZCZERBAK 1984 is the type species of the genus Altiphylax JEREMČENKO & SZCZERBAK 1984.

EtymologyNamed after Marat M. Tokobaev (born 1932), entomologist and parasitologist.
