Comment | A. mitchelli most closely resembles A. bogerti, A. chiszari and A. reidi, species inhabiting highland regions adjacent to the Sierra Madre del Sur and associated ranges in Oaxaca. Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. |
Etymology | Named after Lyndon A. Mitchell was Animal Care Manager at the Reptile Departtnent, Dallas Zoo and a co-author of Jonathan Campbell. |
