DiagnosisDiagnosis: Slender body with pointed snout swollen at the nasal region. Four supraoculars, the fourth at times divided. One row of granules between the supraoculars and the superciliaries. Four supralabials anterior to the subocular. Subocular not in contact with the lip and lodged between the fourth and fifth supralabial. Three supratemporals. Ear opening almost closed off by two or three scales on the anterior portion. Very small dorsals numbering from 58 to76 across the midbody. Fingers with four series of scales. Very intense pectination of toes. Scales on the upperside of the tail medium-sized and only slightly keeled. Ventrals usually arranged in 12 straight longitudinal rows (Salvador 1982: 136).
