Diagnosis | Diagnosis: The genetic results and the following characters: a species resembling A. agama, A. paragama, and A. africana but characterized by a much smaller snout-vent length of adult males (82 – 101 mm instead of 115 – 140 mm), a low vertebral count (29 – 34 instead of 40 – 56 in sympatric specimens of A. agama),and strongly carinated and mucronate dorsal scales (feebly arinated and mucronate scales in sympatric specimens of A. agama). |
