Comment | Loveridge (1936) synonymized Agama kaimosae with Agama caudospinosa and designated the latter as a subspecies of Agama planiceps Peters, 1862; claiming he had misinterpreted the coloration of Agama caudospinosa and that the less spinose tail was an artifact, due to abrasion caused during escape attempts into rock crevices, in his entire type series of Agama kaimosae. |
