DiagnosisDiagnosis (genus): Predominantly nocturnal geckos with granular dorsal scales; supra-ocular spines usually present. Pupil vertical. Lamellae on toepads undivided; a large claw is present on each digit, claws asymmetrically positioned. Femoro-anal pores and hemipenial pouches present in males; cloacal spurs may be present in large specimens (from GERLACH 1996).
