Type locality: Tedschen River, Transkaspia
Type locality: Kary-Bent, Tedzhen River Valley, Turkmenistan (fide KHALIKOV, pers. comm.)

TypesNeotype: NMNHU (formerly ZIK) SR 314, adult female, Turkmenia, Tedjen Distr., Takyr Station, designated by SZCZERBAK & GOLUBEV 1996.
Holotype: lost fide SZCZERBAK & GOLUBEV 1996. 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: SZCZERBAK & GOLUBEV 1996. 
CommentSynonymy: TERENTJEV & CHERNOV 1949 included A. laevis in the synonymy of A. pipiens.

Distribution: ANDERSON 1999 did not find any records from Iran and thus did not include it in his “Lizards of Iran”.
