Type locality: corrected by Stejneger, 1904, to Puerto Rico.

Type locality: originally given, erroneously, as Martinique.

Type species: Amphisbaena caeca is the type species of the genus Typhloblanus FITZINGER 1843, now a synonym of Amphisbaena.
