Type locality: Koolan Is., 16° 08’ S, 123° 45’ E, Western Australia.

TypesHolotype: WAM R26839 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A slender blind-snake with rounded snout, 18 midbody scale rows and nasal cleft proceeding from preocular and completely dividing nasal scale. Further distinguishable from R. diversus by more numerous ventrals.

EtymologyNamed after the type locality in Yampi Sound, north-west Kimberley.
