CommentDistribution: Reports from Mexico and Belize seem to be based on other species (Villa et al, 1988). Not listed by LINER 1994. Not listed for El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, and Mexico by KÖHLER (2000).

Synonymy: N. quaggulus has been removed from the synonymy of N. humilis by KÖHLER 2003. A. marsupialis, formerly a synonym of A. humilis has been revalidated by KÖHLER et al. 2015. However, Poe (2016) considers the diagnostic characters suggested by Köhler as insufficient to distinguish between A. quaggulus and humilis.
