CommentThe status of forresti remains unclear (POWELL & HENDERSON 2001).

Species group: Ctenonotus bimaculatus species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012). Note that the wattsi group of anoles contains wattsi, forresti, pogus, and schwartzi. 
EtymologyNamed after W.R. Forrest, Health Officer of Antigua, who collected the types.
