CommentSAVAGE & GUYER 1991 suggested to suppress the name Lacerta strumosa because it hasn’t been used for more than 17 years. Anolis lineatus is not listed by SCHWARTZ & HENDERSON 1991.

Morphology: In A. lineatus, one side of the dewlap appears more yellow in color than the other (Losos et al. 2017).

Distribution: DUMÉRIL & BIBRON 1837 give Martinique as location.

Species group: Norops auratus Species Group (fide Nicholson et al. 2012) 
EtymologyNamed after Latin “linea”, meaning stripe or line.
