Species group: Deiroptyx hendersoni species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).

Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyProbably named after Latin rima = cleft, crevice, given that “the lizards retreated with agility into rock crevices” when approached.
