insulaepinorum: Isla de la Juventud, north of Ciénaga de Lanier.

Subspecies: Anolis bremeri insulaepinorum GARRIDO, 1972 is not listed by NICHOLSON et al. 2012, 2018. It may be a synonym of bremeri or some other species.

Species group: Norops sagrei species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012). 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. John Lewis Bremer (1874-1959) who worked at the Harvard Medical School as Professor of Anatomy (1931-). Barbour wrote that Bremer "has often most kindly aided me while upon collecting trips."
