Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A moderately large anole of the Beta section and petersi series of Etheridge, having well-defined transverse processeson most caudal vertebrae and 2 posterior floating parasternal chevrons preceded by 3 chevrons attached to ribs; all scales on body smooth, some on tail keeled; 20 lamellae under phalanges 3-4 of 4th toe; dorsals little larger than laterals, one-quartersize of ventrals, except for scales in middorsal or first paravertebrar low; most latter scales 1.-2. times as large as dorsolateral scales; tail twice as high as wide, with a middorsal crest of enlarged, keeled scales, 3 per whorl; head scales smooth; 4 rows of loreals;supraocular small, numerous. |
