Type locality: Itahuania, Upper Río Madre de Dios, Peru.

Diagnosis 
CommentSpecies groups: Dactyloa punctata species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).

Conservation: very rare - only 3 specimens have been found. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin dissimilis, unlike, different, dissimilar. (WILLIAMS 1965, Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., April 2024)
