Diagnosis 
CommentSpecies group: Dactyloa latifrons species group (NICHOLSON et al. 2012). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin Apollinaris. Honouring Hermano Apolinar María F.S.C. (née Nicolas Seiler, 1867-1949), french priest and naturalist active en Colombia. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
