Etymology | Named after Louis Fraser (1810-1866), a zoologist, collector, curator, explorer, zookeeper, consul, author, dealer, and taxidermist. He was employed at the museum ofthe Zoological Society, London (1832-1841 and 1842-1846), and collected in the Americas and Africa. |
