Type locality: Pico Cuba, macizo del Turquino, Sierra Maestra, Provincia de Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.

CommentSpecies group: Anolis carolinensis species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyFrom Latin “incredulous”, “por las dudas que pudiera acarrear”
