chocorum: E Panama (Darién), Colombia (forest of lowlands 20-700m at Pacific Coast; Chocó), Costa Rica; Type locality: Río Tuira at Quebreda La Plata, Darién, Panama, elevation 100 m.

Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: Species status still unconfirmed (fide Williams 1988). Not listed by KÖHLER 2000. Populations of these species from Panama have been assigned to A. ibanezi. Batista et al. (2015) synonymized chocorum with purpurescens.

Distribution: not in Costa Rica fide Bolaños (pers. comm.). Possibly in Panama but without verified records.

Species group: Dactyloa latifrons species group (NICHOLSON et al. 2012).
