Type locality: 16.5 mi. S San Jose de Ocoa, 500 ft., Peravia Province, Republica Dominicana.

Diagnosis 
CommentHybridization: intergrades with A. (d.) ignigularis in southern Peravia Province, and possibly with A. (d.) dominicensis in Azua Province.

Species group: Ctenonotus distichus species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).
