Diagnosis 
CommentAnolis impetigosus appears to be indistinguishable from A. tigrinus, described a year earlier by Peters, and most likely is a synonym of the latter (L. Mahler pers, comm. 4 Nov 2014). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin impetigo, a scabby eruption on the skin, impetigo and Latin -osus, suffix denoting abundance. [?]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
