TypesHolotype: MNHNCu 14.149 (Havana), was: MHNH 14.149 (Museo de Holguin); Paraypes: Hembra adulta colectada por Marilin Milian. Raúl Agüero y Rolando Borrero en el sendero de Morlotte-Fustete. 2 Km al S del poblado de Alegria de Pío Cabo Cruz, Granma, Cuba. el dia 18 .4. 1996 CMNHNCU 670). Joven (CZACC 5600) y Juveniles (MHNH 14.1.50, 14,1.51 y 14,1.52), con los mismos datos que el holótipo. 
Diagnosis 
CommentSpecies group: Xiphosurus chamaeleonides species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012). 
EtymologyNamed after Prof. Raúl Agüero, who collected the types of this species.
