Type locality: Colombia, Caqueta, Camp Soratama, Upper Apaporis.

TypesHolotype: MCZ 131176 (in catalogue as 136176) 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Close to A. dissimilis but without the tail crest characteristic of that species and with a different coloration. (Williams 1974) 
CommentSpecies groups: Dactyloa punctata species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).

Abundance: only known from the type specimen (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
