Type locality: 2 km S Aserio de Nuevo Mundo, Moa, Guantánamo Province, Cuba.  
TypesHolotype: CZACC (= IZAC = IZ) 3854. 
DiagnosisDESCRIPTION: Size small (SVL in males to 35 mm, in females to 32 mm); habitus
attenuate, tail long; total loreals 22-31; scales between supraorbitals 1-2 (mode 1); 1-3 (mode 2) scales between interparietal and supraorbital semicircles; 5 mid-dorsal rows enlarged, strongly keeled; ventrals strongly keeled. Dorsum (males) with median dorsal stripe, 4 scales wide, beige with 5 separated dots, continuing onto tail. Dorsal band-borders chestnut; head pale green, almost olive; postlabial stripe white, from eye to hindlimbs, widest between fore- and hindlimbs; a black postocular patch; limbs and tail straw-colored; tail with more or less central portion with about 1 in. black; posterior faces of thighs chestnut to terra-cotta; venter whitish; dewlap pale yellow; iris bluish green; dorsum (females) similar to males but median stripe much darker; head olive-green; venter white, with a greenish
midventral stripe (Schwartz & Henderson 1991: 266).
